摘要: Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and epidermal (EGF) regulate colon cancer metastasis. Previous studies utilizing antibodies against the VEGF receptor (DC101) or EGF (C225) have demonstrated independently that these agents can inhibit tumour induce apoptosis in vivo vitro systems. We hypothesized simultaneous blockade of receptors would enhance therapy a mouse model peritoneal carcinomatosis. Nude mice were given intraperitoneal injection KM12L4 human cells to generate metastases. Mice then randomized into one four treatment groups: control, anti-VEGFR (DC101), anti-EGFR (C225), DC101 C225. Relative control group, with DC101+C225 decreased vascularity, growth, proliferation, formation ascites increased both cells. Although C225 did not change any above parameters, combined led significant decrease vascularity increases cell (vs group). These findings suggest inhibits angiogenesis, survival, VEGF-mediated murine The addition appears lead further angiogenesis formation. Combination anti-VEGF may represent novel therapeutic strategy for management
