摘要: The peak explosion pressure and the maximum rate of rise are important safety parameters for assessing hazard a process design vessels able to withstand an or their vents used as relief devices. Using ethylene-air with various fuel concentrations (4-10 vol% C2H4) test mixture, propagation in four closed (a spherical vessel central ignition three cylindrical L/D ratios, centrally side ignited) has been studied at initial pressures between 0.3–2.0 bar. In all cases, rates were found be linear functions on total pressure, constant concentration. Examining several enclosures, values have vessel. For same conditions, determined decrease increase ratio. Asymmetric ignition, vessel's bottom, induces heat losses during flame propagation. This is characterized by lowest rise, compared ignited centre
