摘要: Both clinical and rodent studies show sexually dimorphic patterns in the behavioral response to cocaine all phases of addiction process (induction, maintenance, relapse). Clinical also indicate that hormonal fluctuations during menstrual/estrous cycle modulate cocaine-induced subjective effects women locomotor activity female rats. Evidence suggests gonadal hormones underlie these observed differences could be biological basis sex-specific addiction. To study on activity, two approaches have been used. First, examined role endogenous through gonadectomy (GDX) side-by-side comparisons with intact Second, individual contributions testosterone, progesterone, estrogen determined by hormone replacement GDX In this review, we discuss as for responses cocaine, implications findings.
