摘要: BACKGROUND: Epilepsy is highly prevalent in people with intellectual disabilities and associated increased mortality high healthcare usage. This systematic review summarizes research on service responses to epilepsy. METHOD: Studies published from 1990 were identified via electronic searches using Medline, Cinahl, PsycINFO Web of Science, email requests researcher networks, cross-citations. Information extracted studies was reviewed narratively relation themes. RESULTS: Thirty-five met the inclusion criteria. Overall study quality low, no RCTs or similarly robust intervention designs. Access specialists inconsistent. The importance proxies need for education regarding epilepsy staff, carers highlighted. CONCLUSION: There are methodologically service-related interventions Further improving delivery required substantiate findings reported here.
