摘要: Title. Improving decision-making in caring for people with epilepsy and intellectual disability: an action research project. Aim.  This paper is a report of study aimed at improving concerning risks disability the empowerment participants to sustain this improvement. Background.  Residents long-stay units specialized centres suffer severe are often intellectually disabled. Professional caregivers have find balance between risk-taking protection, as both can negative effect on quality life. Clients, their representatives involved process. Method.  A participative project was conducted. Data were gathered continuously over 22-month period 2004–2006 by interviews, observation, written reports meetings personal stories. Findings.  The resulted ongoing process improvement. Problems about risk clarified. importance consensus commitment management all became apparent.
