摘要: Heterotopic gastric mucosa in the cervical esophagus appears to result from incomplete replacement of original columnar epithelium by stratified squamous embryonal period.1 This condition should be distinguished acquired metaplastic process Barrett’s that results chronic gastro-esophageal reflux disease.2 Islands mucosa, or inlet patches, are seen 4% 10% patients referred for EGD.3-5 Despite publications asserting heterotopic is a benign condition, 14 cases have so far been reported adenocarcinoma and 1 highgrade dysplasia arising such an patch.6-9 Almost certainly patch, underdiagnosed. article presents 2 cases, one high-grade treated with argon plasma coagulation (APC), esophageal resection esophagus.
