摘要: Studies comparing empirically supported substance abuse treatments versus their culturally accommodated counterparts with participants from a specific ethnic minority group are lacking in the literature. To address this gap, pilot study was conducted to compare feasibility and relative efficacy of an standard version cognitive-behavioral treatment (S-CBT) (A-CBT) sample Latino adolescents. This guided by Cultural Accommodation Model for Substance Abuse Treatment (CAM-SAT). Thirty-five adolescents (mean age = 15.49) were randomly assigned one two 12-week group-based conditions (S-CBT 18; A-CBT 17) assessments at pretreatment, posttreatment 3-month follow-up. Results indicated similar retention satisfaction rates both conditions. In addition, demonstrated significant decreases use pre- slight increases follow-up; however, outcomes moderated cultural variables: identity familism. Implications these findings within context conducting clinical trials discussed. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2012 APA, all rights reserved).
