Isometric hand grip strength correlated with isokinetic data of the shoulder stabilizers in individuals with chronic stroke.

摘要: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between isometric hand grip (HG) strength and isokinetic data glenoumeral scapulothoracic muscles in 12 individuals with chronic hemiparesis due stroke. Measures maximal were obtained on HG dynamometer Jamar(®). Isokinetic measures peak torque work during shoulder rotations scapular protraction-retraction movements at a speed 60°/s. Pearson correlation coefficients ranged 0.60 0.82 for 0.59 0.86 work. findings suggested that, absence dynamometers, measurements could be clinically used monitor levels stabilizers guide load progressions strengthening interventions people hemiparesis.
