摘要: CONTEXT During gymnastic exercises, considerable force output is required in the shoulder girdle muscles. Isokinetic performance of scapular muscles young, elite gymnasts has not been examined. OBJECTIVE To compare isokinetic muscle between adolescent and nonathletic adolescents to identify differences strength, endurance, balance based on high-level sport participation. DESIGN Single-session, repeated-measures design. SETTING University human research laboratory. PATIENTS OR OTHER PARTICIPANTS Sixteen 26 age-matched subjects participated study. INTERVENTION(S) Linear protraction-retraction movement plane at 2 velocities (12.2 cm/s 36.6 cm/s). MAIN OUTCOME MEASURE(S) strength endurance values, peak force/body mass, work/body fatigue index (difference work performed first third last test), protraction retraction ratios. RESULTS Elite demonstrated higher values for mass than control group (P < .05), they ratios nondominant side dominant .05 low velocity, P .001 high velocity). Work/body were statistically different groups. Side = .003) with lower .001) apparent gymnast side. CONCLUSIONS Scapular elite, young characterized by increased altered muscular around scapula compared adolescents.
