摘要: Water quality is an important factor for health and safety issues associated with public also aquatic life. More more water are becoming a significant concern due to the growth of population, urban expansion development. Thus, assessment surface has become issue. Quality Index (WQI) single number which can be calculated easily used overall description bodies different purposes. In this study, data obtained from 10 sampling stations during one year monitoring period at Kirmir basin was evaluated. drinking sources capital city Turkey, Ankara. The analyses 44 parameters were done all samples General Directorate State Hydraulic Works (DSI), Department Chemistry, Analysis Laboratory. It found that DO, BOD, phosphate, color, turbidity, T. coli, E. Enterococci, iron, manganese, arsenic, aluminum, boron, barium values exceed limit given in standards major pollutants affect basin. For easy interpretation data, five WQI models applied selected parameters. suitability these discussed respect their applicability similar studies. study it concluded Canadian (CWQI) Oregon (OWQI) would provide best results.
