Primary Productivity in the Shelf Seas of North-West Europe

摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter summarizes present knowledge of phytoplankton distributions and growth in the shelf seas north-western (NW) Europe context a broad understanding ecology, both from experimental laboratory work observational studies other ocean areas. Control production methods for estimating primary productivity are also discussed. The references largely to general literature, whereas remaining deal specifically with NW European waters. Such an approach leads some repetition, but provides more comprehensive basis assessing this region.
