摘要: Background The advent of sophisticated endoscopic devices allows for a variety procedures heretofore performed surgically. This study describes the results pyloromyotomy congenital hypertrophic pyloric stenosis (CHPS). Methods Ten consecutive infants (7 boys, 3 girls; age range 3-7 weeks), with diagnosis CHPS, underwent while under conscious sedation by using an electrosurgical needle knife or sphincterotome. Incisions were made from antral to duodenal side pylorus. All except one on outpatient basis. Results No complication was encountered in any patient. patients began regular feedings as soon they recovered effects sedative medication and discharged same day. At follow-up (range 6 months 2 years), all doing well. Conclusions Surgery CHPS has undergone little change recent decades laparoscopic approach. Surgical is considered simple, inexpensive, safe. Endoscopic equally probably less expensive, it can be procedure.
