摘要: Histoplasma capsulatum is a facultative intracellular pathogen, and the causative agent of most common systemic fungal infection. Over past several years, many new insights have been learned concerning biology, biochemistry, molecular genetics this microorganism. This review focuses on immunology host defense against H. yeasts with emphasis development cell-mediated immunity, strategies used by fungus to survive multiply within macrophages.
