Teaching Basic Programming Concepts to Young Primary School Students Using Tablets: Results of a Pilot Project.

摘要: The study presents the results of a project in which tablets and ready-made application were used for teaching basic programming concepts to young primary school students (ages 7-9). A total 135 participated study, attending schools Athens, Greece, divided into three groups. first was taught conventionally. second using board game, while third an application. Students' performance assessed evaluation sheets. Data analyses revealed that tablets/application group outperformed other two groups out four tests. No age differences noted. views regarding highly positive. learning outcomes can be attributed combination application's game-like features tablets' ease use. On basis results, educators, as well policy makers, consider use mobile applications students.
