摘要: This study addressed the following question: What is effect of fermentable and nonfermentable fiber-rich diets on intestinal immune cells' function metabolism? For this purpose, weaning rats received, for 8 weeks, two types fiber-enriched (30%) with different fermentable/nonfermentable fiber ratios, that is, oat bran (0.3) wheat (0.14). The results these experimental groups were compared those low-fiber control group having a 0.22 ratio. total number proportion leukocytes in plasma, cells lymphoid organs, lymphocyte proliferative activity capacity phagocytosis, hydrogen peroxide production, adherence macrophages investigated. activities key enzymes glycolysis glutaminolysis, Krebs cycle lymphocytes from mesenteric lymph nodes intraperitoneal cavity determined. metabolic response fed three to Bacillus Calmette-Guerin-stimulus was also lower both than but did not have any difference remaining organs. Wheat caused significant reduction phagocytosis index macrophages, whereas effect. glucose glutamine metabolism altered by lymphocytes, increase glutaminase hexokinase abolished.
