摘要: Over the last 500 years, an average of five intermediate-depth earthquakes Mw = 7 and larger have occurred during each 100-year period in Vrancea, Central Romania. We therefore attempted to assess long-term seismic hazards Vrancea using a stress-release (SR) model which models elastic rebound theory stochastic process. The hypocenter catalog, ROMPLUS, provided by National Institute for Earth Physics (NIEP), was adopted study. only used data on located applied SR-model sets with magnitude 7.0 three different time periods. Renewal models, such as Brownian Weibull model, were also same set, but these did not perform well SR-model. can future earthquake probability has identified that occurring 5-year exceeds 40% end this decade.
