摘要: One immune function of astrocytes is IL-6 production. Synthesis within the central nervous system (CNS) can produce several different responses, acting on glia, neurons, and lymphocytes infiltrating brain tissue, some these effects are associated with CNS autoimmune disease. gene expression in regulated by cytokines, infectious agents, neuropeptides, neurotransmitters, most stimuli interact synergistically. To examine integration diverse factors control production, we have studied involvement underlying signal transduction processes using neonatal rat astrocytes. We focused related to stimulation IL-1 beta TNF-alpha. Our results indicate that protein kinase C (PKC), such as PMA calcium ionophore A23187, increase expression, whereas pharmacologic inhibitors PKC inhibit induction Furthermore, both TNF-alpha stimulate activity Stimulators cAMP pathway, cholera toxin, forskolin, dibutyryl cAMP, also induced astrocyte expression. However, inhibition pathway effector, A, did not reduce response or TNF-alpha, an ELISA for detected only very small increases synthesis cytokines. These data suggest although does activate it plays a primary role
