A MAXIMUM ENTROPY PRINCIPLE BASED CLOSURE METHOD FOR MACRO-MICRO MODELS OF POLYMERIC MATERIALS

摘要: We consider the finite extensible nonlinear elasticity (FENE) dumbbell model in viscoelastic polymeric fluids. employ maximum entropy principle for FENE model to obtain solution which maximizes entropy of stationary situations. Then we approximate maximum using second order terms microscopic configuration field get an probability density function (PDF). The approximated PDF gives a to avoid difficulties caused by nonlinearity model. We perform moment-closure approximation procedure with PDF approximated from solution, and compute the induced macroscopic stresses. also show that moment-closure system satisfies energy dissipation law. Finally, we some numerical simulations verify system.
