摘要: We use a genomic sampling of both nuclear and mitochondrial DNA markers to examine pattern genetic admixture between Carcharhinus galapagensis (Galapagos sharks) obscurus (dusky sharks), two well-known closely related sharks that have been recognized as valid species for more than 100years. describe widespread mitochondrial-nuclear discordance in which these are readily distinguishable based on 2152 single nucleotide polymorphisms from 910 independent autosomal regions, but show pervasive admixture. The superficially morphologically cryptic adults marked differences internal anatomy, well niche separation. There was no indication ongoing hybridization the species. conclude observed is likely due historical introgression following range expansion.
