摘要: We have described a strain-specific graft-vs-host disease (GVHD)-like syndrome in syngeneic mouse radiation chimeras that developed two of seven strains tested after cyclosporine A (CsA) therapy. It has been suggested, recently, autoreactive T cells develop as result CsA treatment may from inhibition clonal deletion and could be responsible for the development this disease. To test hypothesis, TCR expression, measure tolerance induction, was analyzed series (inducible noninducible GVHD), with without treatment. Clonal deletion, assessed by anti-TCR V beta chain mAb, appeared to occur normally mice inducible GVHD. Conversely, animals which bearing self-reactive detected, did not This discrepancy appear due generalized difference effects on various used, drug (i.e., decreased mitogen responsiveness, thymocyte maturation, etc.) similar all tested. Therefore, CsA-induced expression showed strain variation correlate induction GVHD suggested other mechanisms involved autoimmune phenomenon.
