摘要: Ethnic and cultural diversity is an increasing reality in the US workplace. The current study highlights importance of acknowledging culturally heterogeneous nature ethnic groups, need to focus on social identity characteristics such as values when assessing group differences. We demonstrate that (i.e., individualism) contribute employees' experiences work-family conflict beyond effects ethnicity. Specifically, we introduce a model informed by theory explains why acculturation related conflict. was tested with sample 309 employed Caucasian Hispanic Americans. An empirical test our provides evidence individualism mediates relationship between language- social-based conflict, even controlling for Additionally, alternative models further reveal work interfering family.
