摘要: Injury to the spinal cord results in direct damage axons, neuronal cell bodies, and glia that cause functional loss below site of injury. In addition, injury also triggers an inflammatory response contributes secondary tissue leads further loss. Reducing inflammation after (SCI) is therefore a worthy therapeutic goal. Inflammation injured complex involves resident cells central nervous system as well infiltrating immune cells, mediated by variety molecular pathways signaling molecules. Here, we discuss approaches have used identify novel targets modulate SCI reduce promote recovery. Effective treatments for will likely require combination with those axon regeneration.
