摘要: ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter A4 is a member of the ABC subfamily A which has been reported to be exclusively expressed in retina. In contrast, previous report suggested possible relationship between ABCA4 and CNS function. The purpose present study was investigate localization mRNA protein rat brain. situ hybridization analysis revealed that localized lateral ventricles. RT-PCR detected isolated choroid plexus conditionally immortalized epithelial cells (TR-CSFB). Furthermore, also at about 250 kDa by western blot analysis, its apparent molecular size reduced N-glycosidase F treatment. These results suggest glycosylated cells. may play role function blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier affect CSF conditions.
