Silica-based binary glass systems: wavelength dispersive properties and composition in optical fibres

摘要: A composition-dependent single Sellmeier oscillator model, developed for predicting the refractive index against composition behaviour three binary glass systems, SiO2-B2O3, SiO2-P2O5 and SiO2-GeO2, is extended to a double model. The inclusion of both u.v. i.r. terms in equation has enabled wavelength dispersive properties optical fibres; index, material dispersion profile dispersion, be computed any composition, one these glasses. Theoretical calculations, particular compositions, dispersions are compared with experimental measurements on fibres same fabricated by chemical vapour deposition.
