摘要: As part of their defense against pests like microorganisms and insects, plants express a variety peptides. These peptides have range toxic effects plant pest organisms, interacting with receptor or membrane targets. In this chapter we describe the main families peptides, including thionins, defensins, cyclotides, proteinase, amylase inhibitors. We focus on structures mode action. also discuss recent efforts to exploit activity potency in pharmaceutical agrochemical applications using transgenic plants.
