摘要: Publisher Summary A massive current account surplus is perhaps the most serious problem facing Japan today and generating considerable discontent protectionist sentiment abroad. There are many factors behind this surplus, but Japan's saving rate, which one of highest in world, has been suggested as a major cause. This chapter discusses determinants intercountry differences private rates based on analysis, relative importance various that have possible causes high rate assessed future trends projected.
