摘要: A methodology is proposed for the construction of a representative volume element (RVE) analysis laminated composites containing two arrays ply cracks running in different directions. The only requirement that any are uniformly spaced, and if more than one given orientation cracked, then crack spacing individual plies must be exact multiples each other. directions can fully independent. RVE constructed through systematic consideration translational symmetries present cracked laminate. As result, boundary conditions on imposed without compromising accuracy. Examples application to illustrate its broad capability finite (FE) stress performed these cases results such as surface displacements, local fields RVE-averaged elastic properties. For case, average properties compared with experimental results, showing good agreement.
