摘要: Abstract Objective The purpose of this investigation is to cephalometrically study 50 snoring patients with and without sleep apnea determine whether cephalograms can be used as a diagnostic tool differentiate persons who are chronic snorers from apnea. Study design A sample 30 was compared 20 documented by polysomnography. Forty cephalometric measurements were determined various skeletal, soft tissue, airway abnormalities. Results This showed that both groups presented multiple Only four differed significantly between the two samples. In group maxilla retropositioned hypoid bone displaced inferiorly distally nonapneic snorers. Conclusions Because overall presence abnormal findings in samples given similar age weight ranges, differential diagnosis cannot reliably based on standard evaluation alone.
