摘要: Insulin resistance is one of the primary characteristics type 2 diabetes. Mice overexpressing a dominant-negative IGF-I receptor specifically in muscle (MKR mice) demonstrate severe insulin with high levels serum and tissue lipids eventually develop diabetes at 5–6 wk age. To determine whether lipotoxicity plays role progression disease, we crossed MKR mice fatty acid translocase, CD36, skeletal muscle. The double-transgenic MKR/CD36 showed normalization hyperglycemia hyperinsulinemia as well marked improvement liver sensitivity. also exhibited normal rates oxidation when compared decreased rate MKR.
