Resistance to antiretroviral therapy among patients in Uganda.

摘要: To characterize HIV-1 phenotypic resistance patterns and genotypic mutations among patients taking antiretroviral medications in Uganda the authors reviewed charts retrieved archived plasma specimens from at an AIDS specialty center where therapy has been used since 1996. Phenotypic testing was done on associated with a viral load of 1000 copies/ml. Resistance completed for 16 patients. Among 11 collected before initiation no or primary were found. 8 lamivudine phenolytic found 9 (90%) 10 M184V mutation all cases. 12 zidovudine few For 6 who receiving protease inhibitors observed only one resistance.
