摘要: Primordial odontogenic tumor (POT) is a recently described benign tumor, with only 16 cases reported in the literature. We present 2 new of POT affecting mandible. Case 1 that 12-year-old girl an asymptomatic, slow-growing mass, causing facial asymmetry. Radiography showed well-defined unilocular radiolucency surrounding impacted second premolar. 13-year-old mass involving crown unerupted third molar and showing similar radiographic features. Microscopically, both lesions were composed variably cellular fibromyxoid tissue surrounded by thin ameloblastic epithelium, stellate reticulum-like areas, but no mineralized tissue, yielding diagnosis POT. Immunohistochemical analysis diffuse expression CK14 epithelial cells, whereas CK19 was expressed mainly basal layer. Syndecan-1 (CD138) stellate-like regions subepithelial zone. Both patients treated surgically, signs recurrence seen after 15 60 months, respectively.
