摘要: Publisher Summary Macrophages play a role in variety of complex immunological reactions. They are necessary intermediary for the processing particulate antigens. act as effector cells processes cell-mediated immunity. themselves target products originated from interacting lymphoid cells. Yet, because lack refined morphological and functional criteria identification, it is not clear whether all these properties characteristic single cell population, which modulates its functions different environments at stages maturation, or populations, although superficially similar, actually have lineages with fixed unchangeable profiles. This chapter provides an overview macrophage lines their uses immunobiology. Even within same species, macrophages isolated organs may vary ways. By growing populations vitro systematic comparison could be performed. The population appears to differ terms extent they manifest; this probably reflects stage maturation along differentiating pathways proliferating stimulus has acted. Thus, replicating whole spectrum characteristics can obtained fully differentiated peritoneal cavity monocytic tumor.
