摘要: Background Hereditary angioedema caused by C1 esterase inhibitor deficiency is a rare disorder. Objective To compare the efficacy of pasteurized concentrate (Berinert, CSL Behring) at intravenous doses 10 or 20 U/kg body weight with placebo in treatment single, acute abdominal facial attacks patients hereditary angioedema. Methods This was randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study 125 type I II The primary outcome time from start to onset symptom relief. Secondary outcomes were complete resolution, proportion worsened intensity symptoms between 2 and 4hours after treatment, number vomiting episodes within 4 hours. Results Median relief significantly shorter dose than (0.5 vs 1.5 hours; P = .0025), whereas U/kg, only slightly (1.2 .2731). Compared placebo, reduction greatest for severe 13.5 hours). secondary consistently supported dose. safe well tolerated. No seroconversions observed HIV, hepatitis virus, human B19 virus.
