摘要: This study of injection molding glass fiber reinforced phenolic compounds examines breakage and orientation with key material processing variables, such as speed, volume fraction, the extent resin pre-cure. The orientation, forming discrete skin-core arrangements, is related to divergent gate mold geometrical transition, pre-cure speed functions melt viscosity. Transient modifications viscosity during filling produce variations in skin/core structure along flow path, which are correlated mechanical properties moldings. melting characteristics plasticization impose a severe environment attrition on fibers, sequentially monitored screw, subsequent through runners gates various sizes. Differences found between thermosets thermoplastics raise questions concerning applicability thermoplastic concepts for thermosets.
