摘要: Objectives To explore whether asymptomatic inflammatory prostatitis is associated with prostatic enlargement beyond that of benign hyperplasia patients without prostatitis, and affects long-term outcomes transurethral resection the prostate. Methods The present study involved 106 who underwent prostate. Clinical pathological parameters were compared between those alone. Results A total 55 (52%) found to have whereas 51 (48%) had alone. The prostate volume hyperplasia/asymptomatic group was significantly larger than alone group: 68.1 cm3 (interquartile range 45.7–86.3) versus 44.1 cm3 30.9–72.1), P = 0.036. In terms histopathological analysis, more likely show mild (53%), focal (67%) stromal (40%) inflammation in our study. Furthermore, statistically significant differences International Prostate Symptom Score 3 years after prostate, reporting higher (worse) scores (P = 0.025). Conclusions Chronic process might progressively conduce development, which can also result worsen postoperative Scores. Multicenter studies cohorts longer follow-up periods are required confirm these findings.
