摘要: Based on the 'limited' evidence suggesting an association between exposure to radiofrequency fields (RF) emitted from mobile phones and two types of brain cancer, glioma acoustic neuroma, International Agency for Research Cancer has classified RF as 'possibly carcinogenic humans' in group 2B. In view this classification positive correlation increased genetic damage carcinogenesis, a meta-analysis was conducted determine whether significant increase human cells exposed provides potential mechanism its potential. The extent cells, assessed various end-points, viz., single-/double-strand breaks DNA, incidence chromosomal aberrations, micronuclei sister chromatid exchanges, reported total 88 peer-reviewed scientific publications during 1990-2011 considered meta-analysis. Among several variables experimental protocols used, influence five specific related characteristics investigated: (i) frequency, (ii) absorption rate, (iii) continuous wave, pulsed wave occupationally exposed/mobile phone users, (iv) duration exposure, (v) different cell types. data indicated following. (1) magnitude difference RF-exposed sham-/un-exposed controls small with some exceptions. (2) certain conditions there statistically genotoxicity end-points: effect observed studies sample size largely influenced by publication bias. Studies within generally recommended guidelines showed smaller effect. (3) multiple regression analyses heterogeneity goodness fit that factors other than above well quality have contributed overall results. (4) More importantly, mean indices exchange end-points were spontaneous levels large data-base. Thus, possibly humans 2B not supported genotoxicity-based mechanistic evidence.
