摘要: Knowledge on phase stability in Fe-rich Fe-Cr-Ni-Zr alloys is needed for the development of Laves strengthened ferritic alloys. These show promising applications as new cladding materials nuclear reactors due to enhanced high-temperature strength and resistance creep irradiation hardening. Phase four was carefully investigated using scanning electron microscopy, transmission energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, diffraction techniques. The samples were arc-melted heat treated at 973.15 K (700 °C) 1275 hours 1273.15 (1000 °C) 336 hours. experimental results showed extensive solubility Ni intermetallic phases Fe23Zr6 Fe2Zr_C15. Nickel stabilizes Fe2Zr_C15 structure more than C36 C14 structures. In addition Fe2Zr_C15, Ni7Zr2 found be stable with higher content lower annealing temperature. coexist body-centered cubic matrix all regardless compositions temperatures.
