摘要: Very little is known about genetic abnormalities involved in the development of pilocytic astrocytoma, most frequently occurring brain tumour childhood. We have analysed 48 astrocytoma specimens using comparative genomic hybridization. Only five 41 tumours from children showed detectable by hybridization, and each case this represented gain a single chromosome. Interestingly, two seven adults abnormalities, which were multiple relatively complex. Six showing female patients (two four children).
