摘要: Owing to its advantages over prior relevant technologies, massive parallel or next-generation sequencing (NGS) is rapidly evolving, with growing applications in a wide range of human diseases. The burst actionable molecular alterations many cancer types advocates for the practicality using NGS clinical setting, as it permits characterization multiple genes cost- and time-effective way, starting from low-input DNA. In advanced practice, oncological management colorectal requires knowledge KRAS, NRAS, BRAF status, design appropriate therapeutic strategies, more gene mutations still surfacing potential biomarkers. Tumor heterogeneity, well need serial profiling due tumor evolution emergence novel genetic alterations, have promoted use liquid biopsies—especially form circulating DNA (ctDNA)—as promising alternative tissue analysis. This review discusses recent studies that used plasma summarizes applications, technical challenges involved adopting this technique clinically beneficial practice.
