摘要: Metabolism and pharmacokinetic studies on rat were conducted for lithospermic acid B, one of the components from Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae (danshen) that shows many bioactivities. Liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization mass spectrometry method was applied determination B its metabolites in samples vitro vivo metabolism studies. Rat plasma collected after intravenous administration analyzed obtaining data B. Four O-methylated metabolites, namely monomethyl-, two dimethyl- trimethyl-lithospermic detected when incubated hepatic cytosol. These four also bile, feces The results indicate methylation is main metabolic pathway danshen component methylated excreted to bile feces.
