摘要: A three-dimensional variational data assimilation (3D-Var) system is developed as a first attempt to explore the potential use of improve coupled ice-ocean model (CIOM) forecast sea ice near east coast Canada. The accuracy resulting analysis largely dependent upon forecast-error covariance matrix. This study focuses on estimation statistics required in 3D-Var and their effect ocean part CIOM. accomplished by comparing CIOM output according different specifications used during assimilation. results show no improvement with respect persistence. It has been concluded that still needs significant including many types observations such surface temperature, drift, current, etc. An improved matrix needed for more accurate description system's behaviour.
