The immunophenotype of AIDS-MTs has been documented inconsistently. aim this study was to reappraise phenotypic immunophenotypic features extra-uterine clinical profile afflicted patients. Methods results:  EBV early RNA in-situ hybridization testing on 27 from 25 identified 19 (70.4%) EBV-positive MTs eight (29.6%) EBV-negative MTs. comprised 12 SMTs [six leiomyomas, one tumour uncertain malignant potential (STUMP), five leiomyosarcomas] seven MPCTs [benign (five), (two)]. MTs, made up exclusively SMTs, included angioleiomyoma (one), leiomyoma STUMP (one) leiomyosarcomas (five). Malignant demonstrated hypercellularity, pleomorphism, increased mitoses necrosis. retained conspicuous fascicular architecture. Four marked pleomorphism. All two contained aggregates desmin-negative round oval cells. Seventeen died, mainly comorbid diseases. Conclusion:  While reappraised spectrum does not demonstrate divergent subtype-determined behaviour, heightened awareness/recognition expanded will only promote improved diagnosis pleomorphic myopericytic variants, which may be sentinel clue AIDS its comorbidity, but also facilitate distinction histopathological mimics specific anatomic locations.
