摘要: Variation in learning and memory abilities among closely related species, or even populations of the same has opened research into relationship between cognition, ecological context fitness costs, benefits memory. Such programmes have long been dominated by vertebrate studies assumption a cognitive abilities, brain size metabolic costs. Research on these ‘large brained’ organisms provided important insights understanding functions their adaptive value. In present review, we discuss some aspects costs focusing ‘mini-brain’ studies. insects challenged traditional positions is pushing boundaries our evolution
