摘要: Stromal tumors of the anorectum are a rare group mesenchymal that often have protracted clinical course. We sought to determine which clinical, morphologic, and immunophenotypic features correlated with an adverse outcome in 22 patients anorectal stromal tumors. An outcome, defined as either tumor recurrence or metastasis, occurred nine patients. Seven had metastases, two whom also local recurrences. Four these died from their disease. One patient one recurrence, recurrences; neither metastases. Recurrences were found long 103 months metastases late 117 after initial presentation. However, for without maximum follow-up was only 84 months. Thus both metastasis may not appear until several years treatment, indicating long-term period, probably longer than available many this study, is needed before can be considered cured.
