摘要: Background: Unicondylar knee arthroplasty (UKA) is a well-established treatment for isolated osteoarthritis (OA) of the medial compartment. Aim this retrospective study was to evaluate early clinical and radiological outcomes consecutive series patients treated with metal backed fixed-bearing UKA. Furthermore, influence component orientation on outcome analyzed. Methods: From 09/2006 11/2010 106 (132 knees; 69 ± 9 years) were using UKA MIS approach. All underwent standardized follow-up at 6 weeks, 1, 2 5 years. Mean 3.4±1.0 Two (three UKAs) deceased two (two lost follow-up. Three different survival analyses performed three endpoints defining failure: (a) revision exchange any (b) aseptic loosening (c), worst case scenario, where it assumed that all progressive radiolucencies would lead thus these additionally counted. Clinical assessed usi ng American society score (AKS) Oxford (OKS). Radiographic analysis done according Knee Society Evaluation Scoring System adapted correlated AKS OKS. Results: Five UKAs (3.8 %) revised total arthroplasties (TKAs) after median 25 (10–33) months. year 95.2, 97.5 87.7 % aforementioned endpoints. At final 99 (50–100) points function 100 (60–100) points. The OKS 43 (8–48) independent orientation. Conclusion: Fixed-bearing showed excellent results up years Outcome
