摘要: Objective External mesh support of vein grafts has been shown to mitigate the formation intimal hyperplasia. The aim present study was address issue optimal size in a nonhuman primate model that mimics dimensional mismatch typically encountered between clinical and their target arteries. Methods effect on hyperplasia endothelial preservation assessed bilateral femoral interposition Chacma baboons (n Σ = 32/n 8 per size). No (group I) compared with external nitinol meshes at three different sizes: loose fitting II), 25% diameter constricting III), 50% IV). Mesh sizes were seen not only isolation but also against background anastomotic implantation, expressed as quotient cross-sectional area host artery graft (Q C ). Results Significant amounts found group I median 0.20; 6 weeks=1.63 ± 0.34 mm 2 ; 12 weeks=1.73 0.5 ) II 0.25; weeks=1.96 1.64 weeks=2.88 1.69 In contrast, III 0.45; weeks=0.08 0.13 weeks=0.18 0.32 IV 1.16; weeks=0.02 0.03 weeks=0.11 0.10 showed dramatically suppressed ( P Conclusion By using an animal addressed phenomenon discrepancy bypassed artery, we could demonstrate suppression required constrictive sizes.
