摘要: Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is a transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the tyrosine kinase superfamily receptor. Gliomas are tumors originating from glial cells, which show range aggressiveness depending on grade stage. Many EGFR gene alterations have been identified in gliomas, especially glioblastomas, including amplifications, deletions single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). Glioblastomas discussed as separate entity due to their high correlation with mutants reported association latter survival response treatment this glioma subgroup. This review comprehensive report relations several clinical factors glioblastomas other gliomas. It covers all point mutations, SNPs, methylations, copy number variations assessed regard different variables, therapy survival. also discusses current prognostic status highlights gaps previous studies. serves an update for medical community about role gliomas specifically means targeted prognosis.
