摘要: Abstract The expression of receptors for epidermal growth factor (EGF-R) was determined in 29 samples brain tumors from 22 patients. Primary gliogenous tumors, various degrees cancer, five meningiomas, and two neuroblastomas were examined. Tissue frozen liquid nitrogen immediately after the operation stored at -70° until use. Cerebral tissue 11 patients who died diseases not related to central nervous system served as controls. Immunoprecipitation functional EGF-R-kinase complexes revealed high levels EGF-R all nonneuronal origin that level varied between different also specimens prelevated areas same tumor. In contrast, control invariably low. biochemical properties tumor found be indistinguishable those well-characterized A-431 cell line, derived human epidermoid carcinomas. Human displays a molecular weight 170,000 by polyacrylamide-sodium dodecyl sulfate gel electrophoresis. It is phosphorylated mainly tyrosine residues shows 2-dimensional phosphopeptide map similar obtained with membranes cells. Our observations suggest induction may accompany malignant transformation cells origin.
