摘要: The xanthine oxidase (XO) inhibitory activity of aqueous and organic extracts 27 selected species belonging in five genera (Fallopia, Oxyria, Persicaria, Polygonum Rumex) the family Polygonaceae occurring Carpathian Basin were tested vitro. From different plant parts (aerial parts, leaves, flowers, fruits roots), a total 196 prepared by subsequent extraction with methanol hot H2O solvent–solvent partition MeOH extract yielding n-hexane, chloroform 50% subextracts. It was found that subextracts and/or remaining Fallopia (F. bohemica, F. japonica sachalinensis), Rumex (R. acetosa, R. acetosella, alpinus, conglomeratus, crispus, hydrolapathus, pulcher, stenophyllus, thyrsiflorus, obtusifolius subsp. subalpinus, patientia) bistorta, hydropiper, lapathifolium viviparum demonstrated highest XO (>85% inhibition) at 400 µg/mL. IC50 values active also determined. On basis results, these plants, especially P. hydropiper are considered worthy activity-guided phytochemical investigations.
