摘要: The aim in the diagnosis of abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is to identify cause, which can be classified by PALM-COEIN ( P olyp, A denomyosis, L eiomyoma, M alignancy (and hyperplasia), C oagulopathy, O vulatory disorders, E ndometrial, I atrogenic and N ot otherwise classified) classification system. In a gynecologic setting, first step most often structural abnormalities (PALM causes). Common diagnostic options for identification PALM include ultrasonography, endometrial sampling, hysteroscopy. These alone or combination are sufficient women with AUB. Contrast sonography saline gel infusion, three-dimensional magnetic resonance imaging may included. Aim this article describe how simple structured transvaginal ultrasound performed implemented common practice simplify AUB determine when additional invasive investigations required. Structured myometrial features described. Moreover, situations where included This proposes setup premenopausal according future fast-track cancer postmenopausal based on evaluation endometrium
